Probate is a process that verifies a will under BC laws.
Whether you need to go through probate depends on the nature of the assets within an estate and not whether there was a will or not. The financial institutions may require that a will is probated before they can release the assets. If you are unsure whether the estate needs to be probated or not, please call our office.
Grant of Probate is a legal document that confirms that you have been legally approved to be the executor named in the will. Our office can help you to apply for a grant of probate, if you are named as an executor in the will.
Grant of Administration is a legal document that confirms that you are the administrator of the estate in a case when there was no will. If you are not sure whether you need to apply for a Grant of Administration or not, please, call our office.
